iOS 15 Rumors: All we know so far

It is almost certain iOS15, new os of Apple cellular ecosystem, will be revealed during WWDC 2021, but would it worth that we waited for one year?

iOS 15 Concept (9to5mac)

I accept, I got a little more excited when my iPhone gets a new update. Now that it got iOS 14.6 Public Beta 3 today, we are a bit closer to iOS15.

Except that we don't usually - if not always- find what we hope or dream of with yearly updates, it is mostly because Apple does not like to publish new features rushed and incomplete (although that makes all wonder why their "privacy feature" does not work at all in recent updates).

Every year we hope for more features on new iOS, this year is no different.

So let's find out what are the rumors around iOS15 in brief:

Release Date

Apple presents new iOS versions during their WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) in June. Last year iOS 14 revealed in their online conference on June 22th and iOS15 will be introduced in their -again- online conference, which will be happened on first half of June.

So it seems we will get our hands on the first public beta of iOS15 later in summer and the final version on September 2021.

Availability

Every year some older models lost their chance to be updated to newest version of iOS, which is definite we will see some of the iPhone line to be -kicked- out of the pack.

I don't see any chance that iPhone 6 or earlier will get an iOS15 update. So it is a good time to look for fine deals on maybe an iPhone 11 or later.

New Features

Redesigned Notifications and Notification Panel - Lock Screen

We have delightfully welcomed notification features in macOS Big Sur and it is always good news we will see iOS's notification system catches up with Android's.

So if rumors are true, we will see drag-drop customization availability and a more compact setup in both notification panel and lock screen.

Apart from visual changes, it has been rumored that Apple is planning a new update in notification, preference wise, to let users choose notification sounds, types etc. whether they are sleeping, driving, working etc.

Touch iD Support

Is has been rumored that iOS15 will present dual biometric authentication, which surely means there will be another way to authenticate the user apart from face id. This also -hopefully- proves we will see touch id support on iPhone 13.

Always on Display

This is more likely a hardware improvement, which we may see on iPhone 13, so I am certain if new iPhone gets that feature, lock screen etc. will be designed to keep up with hardware change.

Widgets

Lets admit, we all are a bit jealous when we see an Android user resizes and places the main screen widgets any way they like.

We hope the rumors are true that Apple will make the widgets interactive, which will let us to change widgets -nearly- any way we like.

For more, stay tuned...
